Autumn holidays in Moscow schools this year extended from one week to two. Such a decree signed the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin. "Taking into account the autumn lifting of colds and the growth of identified diseases of COVID-19, I decided to increase the duration of the autumn holidays up to two weeks and to spend it simultaneously in all schools - from October 5 to October 18," said Sergey Sobyanin's blog.

Also, for two weeks, the establishment of additional education and children's leisure organizations that are managed by the Government of Moscow will suspend their work. During the vacation period, according to Sobyanin, there will be no distance classes. However, schoolchildren will be able to repeat passed and, if desired, to study new material with the help of the Moscow Electronic School.

"I am very pleased to clarify the children that vacation time is best to spend at home or in the country. And if you go to walk - then into the courtyard or the nearest park. It should not visit shopping centers for entertainment and ride public transport. It is very important, "Sobyanin emphasized.

According to the mayor, today there is a significant part of the sick, often asymptomatic - these are children who then infect the whole family. "Let's use vacation as an opportunity to reduce the dynamics of morbidity and keep our health," Sobyanin concluded.
