Anflaration. An animal fat or wax is applied to the glass foundation. From above, evenly distribute raw materials from flower petals or herbal mixtures, covered with a glass plate and pressed. This press is withstanding for a while, while fat (wax) does not absorb the maximum amount of oil. Then it is replaced by a new layer several times. Fat-saturated oils are called aromatic lipstick. To obtain essential oil, it is heated and mixed with ethyl alcohol. The minus of this method is that alcohol distorts the fragrance.
Distillation. You can watch this method in the famous film "Perfume". Fresh or dried plants dip in boiling water or heated for a pair. High temperatures break the cells of the plant, releaseing the fragrant essence. The resulting liquid is filtered, separating essential oils from water.
Spin. This method is used in the preparation of an essence from the citrus fruits, such as grapefruit or bergamot. The oil is squeezed from the peel using the centrifuge.
When using essential oils, do not forget that, despite the natural origin, they can cause allergic reactions.
