Wine is a drink that is not associated with Thailand. Yes, and I myself, although it happened here repeatedly, somehow did not bother to get acquainted closer with the products of local winemakers. But they, winemakers, here are present. And produce pretty good table wine. And although I, nursing my mother, so far from the rapid videos, alas, will have to refrain, but no one forbids to prepare for future achievements.
Of course, the French from such news can easily get a heart attack, but Thais manage to drive wine from everything that falls on hand. And at hand, pineapples, lychee, mangoumenes and just therapeutic herbs fall in this fruit paradise. Well, of course, rice - and how did you think? Products from the latter, however, you can hardly attribute to the wines (although I personally doubt about all this fruit company). People knowing that Sato - Wine from Rice - more like a maiden. Sweet and weak.
But there is, there is both local production wine in Thailand. From the real grapes. And for this we need to thank the hardworking northerners who, by refusing to grow opium, bravely master other areas of agriculture. If, until 1995, grapes in Thailand got out of France (who would doubt), now they will cost their own.
It is worth the local wine not to say cheap. The countdown is conducted from 200 baht (in rubles - as much for the bottle). And this is just the beginning. Sometimes the price can be overwhelmed and for a thousand baht (rubles).
From those wines that are presented on the market, one very vipidant secret, with which I somehow met at the local exhibition of popular achievements, strongly advised Monsoon Valley. It is done somewhere in the area of the resort of Hua-Hin and, as this cute lady assured, there is little different from a decent table of French (the latter may faint). At least some prizes in European exhibitions it won. Yes, it is done by wine under the ready leadership of experts from all the same France. In any case, I have already noticed myself in a local wine boutique with a dozen of a variety of bottles for the coming tasting ...
