However, Fine City is called not only therefore. The number of fines that any offense are subject to here (and even the fact that we do not include such) excavates all the rules.
There are beaches in Singapore. Only now to swim in the sea is not very comfortable: probably, this is the only place where it is dirty.
For any piece of paper on Earth, it is necessary to pay from 300 to 1000 dollars, for unhealthy after itself the water in a toilet in a public place - $ 500, and for the gum abandoned to earth (the import of which is officially banned) - almost imprisonment. We, however, happened, overwhelmed on the red light, and once (forgive me, Singapore!) I drank a fruit neck right in the metro car.
To see Singapore from a bird's eye view, it is worth climbing the ferris wheel. The highest in the world, by the way!
Clean the streets here really, if not sterile (in one of the bedrooms, I saw immediately from a dozen cigarettes in one place!), Then very noticeable. Especially after Phuket. Even in the Indian quarter, local residents manage to keep themselves in their hands and not turn the territory in the pile of garbage. Although the conclusion of this is sad: with us, people, you can cope only of excessive rigor - after all, huge fines are relying for the garbage.
Some areas of the city personally reminded of me to Europe - Switzerland or Germany, for example.
It was the fines, I confess as in spirit, I have been afraid of something when departing from the country. For some reason she brought me the day before at night, as customs officers suddenly show a huge list of my offenses - here it is, a fruit neck, absorbed in the subway; But the daughter and we go back and back the road in the wrong place and even take pictures right on the roadway, interfering with the movement. But how do they collect all these fines that are scared all? Or they scare only on paper? After all, in fact, not a single policeman during our stay in Singapore I personally did not see. How, in the end, ensure compliance with this most amazing purity?

In short, I do not know the answer to this question. Because they released us from the country without any problems. The only thing, carefully checked, are we really flying after Singapore not to Phuket, but completely to another country. After all, in local laws, we could not return to our place from where we arrived in this city garden ...
