- On the main role in the film "Theorem Zero", you invited Christoph Valts. Why did you get it?
"I saw his game in" Inchlastic bastards ", and it was just great. A couple of years later we met with Christoph for some kind of filmmaking, looked at each other and said: "We need to work together!" And that's it. (Laughs.)
- He immediately agreed?
- Yes. I invited him to dine, told him the concept of the film, and he said yes. Everything is very simple: I like what he does, he likes what I do. So we approach each other. In addition, I needed an experienced actor, but at the same time not tired of movies, burning ideas. Walza was 53 years old when he became a big star. He is a man with a big acting baggage, but not squandered. And this is exactly what I needed.
- I suspect that many actors dream to work with you. And were those who refused you?
- Yes they were. Of course, I will not call their names. Unfortunately, there are very many talented actors who are not worried about what experience they will get from work, but how much money will earn. I am not interested in me, and they will never get into my films.

- Doesn't you mean any money for you?
- I need exactly so much money to have enough next film. And I don't need a lot about life. I am not very rich, although it is worth it. I have enough what I have. I'm happy.
- In the picture, the main character is immersed in virtual reality. For this, the future, or our world already live in virtual reality?
- It seems to me that this is already happening to one way or that. Many people on the Internet are more comfortable than in real life. If we talk about virtual sex, then 75 percent are watching pornography on the network. It is more convenient and brings them more pleasure than real relationships.
- Do you spend a lot of time on the Internet?
- Yes, and it scares me. In the morning I sit check mail and begins: Oh, here the article is curious - you need to read; And then the video is funny - you need to see; And then someone commented on something, you need to answer. And so I can spend all day. On the one hand, it's great. But on the other, all this wandering over the Internet is a waste of time.
- But the waste of time is needed. For recreation or relaxation, for example. How are you relaxing?
- When I need to translate the Spirit, I turn on the Slideshow Computer Monitor with photos from my life over the past ten years. I look at them and rest. Very relaxing.
- The protagonist in the film is wondering why he was born. Have you already answered yourself to this question?
- It seems to me quite boring to try to answer this question. I do not think that life does not make sense at all. For myself I see the meaning only in those things that I am important to me, and worry only about it.
- Nevertheless, probably one of the meanings of your life is to create a movie. Which of your films are you most expensive?
- There are no such. When I finish the film, he just leaves me, I stop thinking about him. I suspect that on my grave it will be written: "He removed" Brazil ". But for me, this picture is not more important than "time gangsters" or "Imagonarium Dr. Parnas". Each film takes an average of three years of my life. And when he is removed, then everything is goodbye. (Laughs.)
- In the cinema you created many different surrealistic worlds. Which of them could you live?
- In any way! (Laughs.) When I work on this world, I'm trying to fill it with meaning. But when I finish, I understand that all this nonsense is somehow, and start working on a new one.

- This film was filmed in Bucharest. Would you like to work in Moscow? We also have a lot of surrealism.
- (Laughs.) If I give me money, then why not. We filmed in Bucharest, because this is the cheapest place in Europe for work. And about Moscow I know quite a bit.
- But this is not your first visit to Moscow?
- Fifth! The first time was 1995. And I see how your city has changed. But it does not give me an understanding of how you work. (Smiles.)
- Your relatives always agree with what you do? Do they criticize you?
- No, do not criticize. I try my work to cause their doubt, disputes. But they entangle their brains that everything I do is good. (Laughs.)
- Do they help you in work?
- In this film, my daughter Eymi acted as a co-producer. She created all the advertisements that we show in the film.
- And you yourself did not take off in the episode?
- No, did not. But, nevertheless, in the film I am. I became a voice of one of Pornights. (Laughs.)
