In order for a person to show independence, at a certain point, the custody needs to weaken. Infantile adults are not so easy to build as a successful career, so to establish a personal life.
No need to do for a child what he could do himself, encourage any initiative, for example, as soon as the child expressed a desire to refatest the bed or dress independently, in no case hinder.
