"Indeed, with the TV series" Patriot ", in which I not only played, but was first of all his creative producer and screenwriter, I managed to go a hard way from the idea to the premiere on the channel. I didn't have films in it in plans at all, just the actor did not come to the role of Valera, and I, to play out to another artist, I myself took over this role. It turned out successfully, and it was decided to approve me.
Valera Kuchin, the brother of the main character Sani, is such a loser. He had a family, but his wife went to another, took her son with him, and it could be understood. Valera works as a guard, refers to the workman's work, it is generally at the bottom of life. He is the full opposite of honest, positive sleigh, but at the same time he refuses to recognize his failed position, and he catches his buzz from such a life.
—And how much do you look like your hero in the series?
- Valera is an image invented by us for the series. And, by the way, when writing a scenario around this character, there were fewer disputes. I am not like him at all, we have different life situations. He is not close to me.
—They say you really worked in the police before getting into the "real boys". And the guard did not have to work out to get into the role of Valera?
- Most of the filming of the "Patriot" took place in the Moscow Region store, which we wanted specifically for the series. The store was acting, we, so to speak, "selected" his local. According to the old memory, the residents of the village named after Telman went to this store, and I, already disguised into the guard costume, kicked them out from there. Here is an example of gaining role. In general, I and Casting, and during the tweet played the role of Valera many times. So to the start of filming to him already got used to him.

—Alexey, and for a long time you realized that acting is yours?
- And in the "real guys", and in the "patriot" I was both an actor and screenwriter. I like to combine these two professions: it is interesting to be outside the world that you invent, and supplement it from the inside. But in general, I do not consider myself a professional artist - I am a screenwriter, it is my craft. Therefore, by the way, I always ask to give me to read the scripts when I do offers to play.
—And why do you have only two big roles in the service list - just in the "real boys" and in "Patriot"?
"Because I didn't like the scripts that I sent, many of them are secondary." After the success of "real guys", they were offered roles, the most similar to the role of police officer Bazanov. They wanted to continue to exploit the type. And I have already played such a role, I'm not interested.
—You play characters who do not always have a personal life, although in real life you have everything well with her. I heard that you even made your future wife's proposal during the Olympics in Sochi ...
