- Rihanna, how did you get into this project?
- The director Tim Johnson and Head of the studio Jeffrey Katzenberg contacted my agent. I met with them, they told me about the cartoon and gave it to read the script. The script turned out to be so touching and witty that I immediately fell in love with the story, and in characters. And thought it would be great to take part in this project.
- You first voicate the cartoon?
- Yes, work on the animated film has become absolutely new experience for me, not like what I did before. I like it. I generally love to try everything new. In addition, I learned a lot. I have already been working with a microphone for a very long time, but I still had to learn to show emotions with one voice alone, pass the tone and intelligence of the speech of the difficult character and the irrepressive energy of my heroine.
- Tell us about your heroine.
- her name is the gift. She is a teenage girl. Very wayward, independent, daring. But very fun. At the same time, she is very wounded, because it is still very young. In some moments, she takes the brazers of the board to their hands, and sometimes again turns into a child. And the gift is very lonely. Her main task is to find my mother, your way home. There is no more terrible feeling for a child than to be lost or not know where your mother is. It's very scary!

- Do you have something in common with her?
- Oh yeah! Dar accurately reminds me of herself in childhood. I understand how she thinks all its shortcomings, aspirations, keenness and attitude to the world. For me, she is a living girl. When we just started recording, they knew how she looks like, only in general terms. During the gift changed: her hair, appearance, bends, leg length, skin color changed. She came to life in front of her eyes. On the one hand, it was even crazy, and on the other - so cool! And therefore, competing to her, I sometimes sincerely cried. And in the soul was surprised himself: "What a horror! I sob on drawn men. " (Laughs.)

- It so happened that we were able to work together with Jim and just one day and make only a few scenes. And then we were recorded separately. For me it was strange, because, according to the plot, our heroes are all the time together. But even if Jim was in Los Angeles, and I, for example, in China, the director Tim Johnson supported the connection between us, did it so that we had the feeling that we were near. He showed Jim that I wrote down, I wrote to Jim. And by the time of the end of work, with Jim, I had a feeling that we were well acquainted. He is actually very funny, cheerful. Jim was unmatched in how he embodied the image of O. And if I ever be given the opportunity to work with him again, I would be happy.
During the voicing of the cartoon "House", Jim Parsons and Rihanna almost did not meet. Nevertheless, the actors say they became related souls. .
- What do you think is the main idea of this movie?
- Oh and the gift - unusual friends, they are from different galaxies, from different worlds and are very different. At first they belong to each other hostile. But gradually find the points of contact, they learn more about each other more and more and in the end become close friends. So close that it hurts to think about what they will break up. And, in my opinion, the main idea of this film is not to judge, do not criticize and do not draw conclusions ahead of time. Because sometimes your best friend can be a person from whom you will have less than this. With one of my best friends, we met sometime as a gift and about.
