In Russia, began "baby buoy boom"

Anonim

A paradoxical situation has emerged: the books in modern Russia produces a huge amount, but by 99% they are designed for an adult reader. Editions, orienting for children and adolescents, can literally recalculate on the fingers! What is in principle easily explained: it is much more profitable to release detective or loving erotic novels than 5 thousand people - good children's books. And the publishing thing is a business, and it should make a profit. These are the laws of the market.

You can understand businessmen: With a book for children, too many twists, and the yield is small. She, firstly, should be published on a good, dense (often coated) paper, be sure to - with a variety of colored bright illustrations and in a solid cover. And these are serious costs. Secondly, special requirements are presented to the children's book - in terms of print quality, font, clarity, etc. Therefore, the "big" publishers with literature for the children are reluctant, preferring to produce cheap, but very profitable "Dudes" (detectives), " Women's "novels, criminal militants, fantasy, pseudo-historical novels and other waste paper. After all, they can be stamped by 200-300 thousand copies. On cheap newspaper paper without any illustrations, and they stand in the store they are as much as expensive children's books, or even more ...

But the question arises: what will our children and grandchildren read? Again, proven Soviet classics - Chukovsky, Marshak, Agnia Barto, Gaidar, Nosov, Dragunsky, etc. Yes, not one generation of children has grown on these works, but it is impossible to contact them forever! And what do we have in return? "Harry Potter" and his numerous clones? Also, no way out - the same "brain chewing", only in the children's version ...

- And parents, and children need modern Russian authors who would write brightly, figuratively, interestingly, says Marina Sergeeva Children's Publishing House. - But they must be sought, maintaining. Many Russian publishers prefer classics - they do not need to pay fees ... So endless fairy tales of Brothers Grimm, Hoffman, Andersen, Charles Perc, etc. or all familiar works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Tolstoy, Turgenev, Tyutchev ...

Another trouble - children's publishers almost do not get help from the state. But the release of a good book for kids is a very costly process ... In the Soviet years, children's works were produced by millions of circulations and cost literally a penny - the state sponsored their publication. But now other times and other morals. And prices in stores, unfortunately, became other, not everyone affordable ...

In Russia, began

By the way, recently, wholesalers began to be more willing to take a book for children. They found out that the market of "adults" novels is oversaturated and books are tritely ridiculed on the shelves. And this is very unprofitable ... On the other hand, young moms and dads buy colorful, bright, excellent books, even at a high price ... so that a certain progress is planned, however, it goes pretty slow.

It is also said that in the future, paper books are rejected at all, they will completely replace electronic versions. But then children's literature is in a winning position, because the child will not slip some gadget (electronic device. - Ed.). He needs to flip a book with mom, grandmother, poke into the picture with a finger. So it was and so hopefully will. Only through living communication with the book you can kill the baby's love for reading. And the computer, reader (device for reading texts. - Ed.) - It is essentially a dead piece of iron. For a teenager or an adult, he, of course, will come down, but for the baby - it is categorically not.
