Mikhail Bulgakov wrote the novel "White Guard" one year. The director Sergey Skun-Trank has only left for the preparatory period for shooting. The work on the film itself was conducted for more than two years. From the actors who shot in the picture, a mandatory knowledge of the novel was required, and therefore not re-reading the book on the site simply was not. "It is important for me that all of you - full and successful artists understand one thing: what happens to your heroes is a catastrophe with which you do not know how to deal with," the director explained.
The apartment of the turbine was filmed in the Museum Museum of Mikhail Bulgakov on Andreevsky descent. The building had to remove the memorial plate for a while, add decorative buildings around and protect the monument to a carved fence.
