For Aurora Fashion Week, this is the first experience of cooperation with theatrical art. The artists of the ballet troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theater will go to the podium to demonstrate the costumes to all three acts of "sleeping beauty."
The premiere of the play took place on December 16, 2011 in the Mikhailovsky Theater and became one of the most discussed events of the theater season. With a special admiration, the audience and criticism noted truly magic suits, which largely determined the atmosphere of ballet.
Angelina Atlagich: "It was important for me to try to recreate children's memories, impressions, dreams, dreams, that fabulous world that lives in the imagination of every child. I was looking for inspiration in the era of the XVII-XVIII century, but the basic idea is to try to combine the stylistics of Baroque and modern minimalism. "
Examples of cooperation of fashion designers with the theater are well known, starting in the 1920s, when Coco Chanel created costumes to the Blue Express ballet, and ending with the participation of the fashion house of Rodarte in the New York Gala concert in the spring of this year. The showing of costumes to the "Sleeping Beauty" on Aurora Fashion Week demonstrates the reverse process: the theater atmosphere appears on the fashionable podium.
It should be noted that Angelina Atlagich graduated from the department of the stage costume of the Faculty of Applied Arts of Belgrade University in 1985.
