Sunlight, high humidity and temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius significantly reduces the COVID-19 causative agent, said RIA Novosti Italian immunologist, Professor of Milan State University Mario Clerechi. This is evidenced by the results of a joint study of biologists and physicists under the leadership of the scientist. Researchers at the first stage placed the SARS-COV-2 virus in water drops in order to reproduce the effect occurring during coughing or sneezing patient patient with coronavirus. Materials were subjected to different doses of solar radiation: in the shortwave range, long-wave and medium-wave.

The shortwave range corresponds to the situation when the room is an infected person, the average waist - the position of the patient with a severe form of coronavirus infection, as well as long-wave, which is not found in real life.

In the course of the study, it turned out that within a few seconds the virus dies under the influence of even small doses of ultraviolet. Thus, the sun's rays penetrating in the earth's atmosphere can almost completely kill the virus, which is contained in the droplets of the saliva of an infected person.

The expert added that due to this, the incidence of COVID-19 was reduced in Europe and most countries in the northern hemisphere.
