You will need:

- 225 grams of flour;

- 2 h. L. bakery powder;

- 50-100 g of butter;

- 25 grams of sugar;

- milk;

- 1 egg;

- a pinch of salt.

In the English recipe, the "self-refined" flour (self-raising flour) is mentioned, but it is easy to cope with it - add 2 teaspoons of the bakery powder.

So, flour, bakery powder, sugar, mix the salt and add chopped into pieces of cooled butter, carry hands to the condition of small groom. Then take a wooden spoon or blade and gradually pour milk by stirring. The dough should be soft, elastic, but not liquid. Form a flat circle of about 1.5 cm from it. Pick the dough with flour, wrap in the food film and put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to cool.

In the meantime, heat the oven to 220 degrees. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and the special round shape cut the buns, transfer them to the tray, covered with baking paper, mix the egg with a small amount of milk. Try to deceive the special tassel only the top of the buns so that the egg-milk mixture does not fall into the side part. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream (or thick sour cream), jam or honey warm. However, they and cold are good.
