Rube Hygineiskili was lucky enough to be born in a good family. Father, David Higineishvili, a well-known doctor, led one of Borjomi resistant. Mom, Irina Cycaridze, was a talented musician. The new picture "Sober driver" is a comedy only at first glance. About how it is important to keep your "I" and that helps him in this, the director told in an interview with the magazine "Atmosphere".
- Rubo, after the hostages, they were talking about you as a serious dramatic director. Now you returned to the comedy genre. Is he closer to you?
"I understand people whom the genre could surprise my" hostages ": at first glance, this work is not connected with what I did before. But I know my way and understand why one or another picture arose in my life. I never tried to do something in favor of someone. If you turn to naive, but successful at that time the film "Heat" is one of my first works, "I wanted to share with the viewer with my feelings from that summer Moscow, tell about myself and my friends. Of course, there were problems in society, but for me, as for a person who escaped from the Cold and Hot War from Georgia, to some extent there was a ban on reflection. It was easier for me to close behind these rays of atmospheric fabulous summer Moscow. If we talk about the current picture of the "sober driver", then it cannot be called "the return to the comedy genre", I am devoted to the creation of "hostages" for seven years - and after such stress and emptying it was necessary to switch to something else. And then return to other issues that you are worried. Although in the "sober driver" there are topics that I can seriously think.
- For some reason, in Russia, in Russia it is believed that if a topical problem is not affected in the cinema, no one suffers - it cannot become a film sedel.
- For me, the author's position is important in any picture, and the work of the same Andrei Pershin or Jora Kryzhovnikova, his comedic work like "Gorky!" I look with pleasure. I understand that he wants to say how the world sees. Or, for example, take the Soviet cinema - the beautiful film "Mimino" George Nikolaevich Deltey. There is a lot of humor, but there are also other meanings - their perception is already dependent on the level of the viewer's preparedness.

- Remember the moment when you took the idea to remove the "sober driver"?
- Of course, this impulse is defined. Moscow is for me - the second native city, and I am not indifferent to me what is happening here. I found Moscow times of the Soviet Union. My parents often came to visit the uncle and lived on Nevozhanov's street, now it is Bryusov Lane, and I remember this house where a huge number of guests gathered - then there was also a Georgian metropolitan intelligentsia. I think you know such names like Tengiz Abuladay or Rubo Gabyadze, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Nani Bregvadze, Eldar Shengeli. This is the happiness that I had the opportunity to communicate with people who then defined the cultural life of the USSR. Their art went beyond any nationality. Then my family and I returned here again in a strange status of refugees, fleeing from the horrors of war ... I live here and watch: how the city develops. For example, I like to spend time in the Gorky Park with your children, we like to walk on extensive avenues in the center. Of course, something is saddened. I change too. You know, I was very interested to understand: Will I be able after the hostage to re-remove the light ribbon about Moscow? Did I do not worry? For me it was a kind of test. Time is another ... And if there is a topic in the relationship paradigm, the topic arises: "Why didn't you like my post?" - And you can quarrel because of this, these are already some new realities with whom you have to be considered. I wanted one of them to discuss in my picture "Sober driver." With the development of Internet technologies, it became much easier to assign another social status to himself, to give themselves for someone who is not. Sitting in the hotel hall, leaning on a beautiful sofa, lit by the designer lamp, create visibility of well-being. There is nothing wrong with that people want to see themselves more successful, beautiful, happy. But where are we moving to the line when, giving yourself for another, lose your own "I"? It seems to me that it is important not to lie and build your prosperous future on a real reality.
- What helps you come back to yourself?
- I had difficult times, and my inner state was largely influenced by the care of my parents, because, no matter how much years old are you, you feel their support, you understand that there is a strong rear. And then suddenly immediately fell responsibility for himself, and for loved ones. When it's hard for me, music saves me. And if you are quite accurate - the Georgian folklore, those songs that sounded in my childhood in the fabulous Tbilisi, where I grew up and raised up to the nineties. Then this wonderful green city with friendly people turned suddenly into the cold and dark. And this is not a figure of speech - when Twilight came, Tbilisi was immersed in darkness, because there was no electricity. People burned on the streets all that burned to warm up a little. And I remember how to smoke the facades of these beautiful houses, because the inhabitants of the stoves-bourgeitors began to drink ... But the most important thing that retains me now and returns to himself, is my children. When I look at them, I remember and recognize myself at the same age. After all, something I managed to forget (smiles), but watching them - what they are afraid that they are upset, fonds, as if I move back in the time car. I notice my manifestations or his parents in their plastic, gestures, tastes. For example, Vanya grows by a real gourmet: how tasty it eats a steak, watering it with lemon juice, and on top of another sauce! This attitude towards food is unusual for children. And in his gallarium in relation to women, I clearly see the character of my father. Such can not be taught. This is genetics.

- Do you think that genes determine the behavior?
- Yes, I am convinced of this, remembering my older daughter Marusu, Nina and Vanya in gentle age. It is impossible to learn how to things that they demonstrated at the age of two or three years. For example, the film begins Georgy Deltera "Do not burn!" - Not at all children, I ask you to notice. And there goes Georgian Crymanchuli - a complex thorny entanglement, popular in Guria (and I am Gurian in origin), and Vanya suddenly jumps up and begins to dance. I can't tear it away from the screen, and he starting this film from the beginning to the end.
- It was important for you that the children know their roots?
- It's important for me. And how I love French and Italian, Soviet cinema, I love the Georgian. (Smiles.) I would like children to know the culture of the native country and on this basis, the foundation was strengthened and have already opened peace for themselves. I believe that only a stupid person can oppose his culture of culture of other countries. But know where you are, where your roots are needed.
- They say Georgian?
- Until they say, but when we come to Tbilisi, they immediately begin to lie something, imitating speech melody, and it's great. Vanya loves Georgian dancing. Looks at you on YouTube and trying to repeat movement. By the way, it turns out very cool, it is a plastic guy. Moscow is a big city, and everyone is mostly occupied by themselves, and there they meet adult people with whom they can communicate on equal. Vanya and Nina see how a large number of children, adults, old people are sitting at one table, and suddenly someone will sing, will say a beautiful toast - they are in love with this atmosphere, feel like full members of society. They are taken by our friends, and they go together in a cafe, discuss some questions, clothing for example. (Smiles.) Nina Large fashionista, she sometimes comes to the workshop to my artist in the costumes, and they draw together. Even if children suddenly lose the edge of adult friends, they hear them.
- Your family circumstances have changed, you are divorced. Will you spend the same time with children?
- Adults are adults. Thank God, we have a trust relationship with us and now, we respect each other. To some extent, even competing with her, who will hobble children anymore. And in this dispute, of course, children won. Soon I will go to Miami to the eldest, Marus, - I hope you spend a good time. I like that some things are associated.
- What are the same?
- Creation. Even if the smartphone is bought, there are attempts to see the first filming, movie creation. We are sharing music with Marius, I do not reject what she listens, although I am not interested in modern American pops. But let I even do not understand this music, I will never say that it is bad and do not listen to her. In response, I send my music. This is a dialogue. Nina was on me on the set. Just these days the children were filmed, I gave her a walkie-talkie and said: "You will be the director with a director." And she did it with hobby, then watched what the result was. For the new year, the daughter asked the camera, we discussed it with Nadi, because she wanted a completely professional model. But I see that Nina is really wondering, she removes something, uses Vanya as an artist. (Smiles.) I am glad that they are behind the scenes. I am very careful and carefully about the idea of removing your children, and even when other people's artists in the court, try to create them the most comfortable conditions. Shooting is a rather laborious process and stressful story. Miscellaneous situations arise: it happens, get involved on the illuminator, and the child will perceive negative emotions to his account. God forbid, some complexes will arise. I'm trying to play, attract them to work. For me and adult artists as children. This is the peculiar profession when you stand in the frame and try to believe what you are depicting.

- Do you behave on the set more like a father or as a friend?
- You know, I studied with many wonderful directors. I was lucky: I personally knew them - and they shared their useful experience. I recorded their ideas and tried slowly something to embody on the court. Of course, the experience is not transmitted, everyone needs to go its way, but there are things that emotionally charge and motivate. When we shot the "9 company", Fyodor Bondarchuk was a harsh director, and a friend, and the organizer, and the administrator, and the organizer of our leisure. It was the most difficult cinema, after six working days I was elementary I wanted to sleep at the weekend, but with the operator Maxim Sideli ran to me into the room, walked at seven in the morning and took it to the beach. They said: "You must appreciate the day off!". And this is the union of the film crew healthy works when you are already involved in the workflow. It is very important for the director to be a psychologist, finding each approach, and at the same time still to have the courage to make decisions, to take responsibility.
- I read that you have covered tables on the set ...
- Not certainly in that way. I have a tradition: if you can't collect the whole film crew, then at least artists, operators invite to dine somewhere together, share emotions, discuss the past day, plans for tomorrow. Niko Pirosmani, who persistently tolerated the fact that his contemporaries did not recognize him as an artist, appreciated the idea and philosophy of the table. He needed a table to talk to others about art.
And in Tbilisi, where we shot the "hostages", I tried to isolate the actors so that they were about anything other than the paintings, did not think. We watched documentary chronicles, films of that time, read the appropriate literature. Actors were filmed - very young people, - and I tried to make modern Georgia disappeared from the melody of speech, they had studied to insert slang. The topic obliged: if you make a mistake in some details, the documentary material will not forgive this. We need to work carefully with the text. We lived a month or two together in a country house, and I watched every actor, studied behavior, psychotype. This then helped me as director at work. The film crew is an ensemble in which different tools should sound in unison. But they all gather at the beginning at the table. (Laughs.)
- If a person does not drink, is it suspicious?
- depending on how he refuses. (Laughs.) If sharply, impulsively: "No, no, no for what!" - denoting the importance of your refusal, suspiciously. It is worth thinking: maybe he is in a scary string.
- Director - Men's Profession?
- It seems to me that strange in the modern world, where gender roles mixed up, ask the question of which profession to whom it belongs. Sometimes the ladies in life are much stronger than men, so assume that they will not cope with the work of the director, funny. Now many women operators are talented, beautiful. I hope, over time, when certain dogmas go to the background, we will see even more women directors. I just wish this.
- You were at the premiere of the pictures of hopes Mikhalkova "Played Place." How did it appreciate its directorial debut?
- I appreciated it as a serious inner growth. Hope is a susceptible person, she should have interesting work. I liked that as the first sample she chose a genre picture, but I would like to see a more personal statement of the director of Hope Mikhalkova. It happens, you look at some kind of film and do not remember a single frame, and here I remember a lot: lyrics, well-playing artists and a strong narrative, which usually debuts are unusual.
"You said that you have left for the preparation of" hostages "- this is a huge period when you live in one emotional state. What does it support at such moments?
- Absolute loyalty. And some challenge, when, despite doubts, difficulties, you make steps towards achieving the goal. The main thing is to defeat your fears and translate them into something creative. Any stressful situation, failure or loss can withdraw a person to a new level.

- Are there any personal qualities that prevent you from living, achieving success?
- At one time, watching me, I was worried about some manifestations of my character. But now I understand that these qualities are part of my personality, and I work on them. I try to control my quick temper and excessive straightness, sometimes completely unnecessary. I have a courage for some misdeed, ask for forgiveness. This is a permanent process of working on yourself.
- You somehow admitted that you love rustic life ...
- Yes, I love nature - and I like to feel it part of it. I find the calmness in this: cottage, fireplace, an interesting book, delicious food. I like to communicate with the staff, which works in the neighboring villages, talk to the builders, do it yourself. Other shifts at this point occur in the brain. The directors have no normalized working day. All the time you watch the life around and fix interesting moments: here the couple of old age is praying in the church - invent the story of their love, here the person in the car traffic can be nervously calling on the phone, it is turned out of the window, trying to evaluate the scales of disaster - where he is late ? The brain is not relaxing for a minute. And when you are doing something specific, you do something with your hands, the other mechanics turn on.
- What are your favorite classes?
- I like to draw with children. One do not know how to do it, because I am a perfectionist, and I think that the artist is not very. (Laughs.) And with children I understand that you just need to enjoy the process itself. I love to cook, do it with pleasure. I love to play on the drums, walk. I can go through a lot of kilometers and at the same time feel yourself rested. Here else: communication with people who know a lot more than you!
- Do you love travel? Which country made the most severe impression on you?
- The country in which my heart sings and like everything is Italy. And I made a lot of strange and interesting discovery for myself on Bali. This is a completely different civilization, and I confess, there I have become less radical in my estimates. In India, a meeting with ancient culture and philosophy also gives spiritual growth, you can look at some kind of angle, it seemed familiar things. And these impressions, emotions bizarrely flow into my paintings. I like to ask questions, and, in fact, in any of my picture I study myself.
- If you compare life - probably, nevertheless not with a movie, but with a book, then what book?
- Digid. Life continues - in all its difficulty and versatility, attempts to live in restrictions and enjoy being. And I thank God for the fact that she is.
