What to see
The center of the Museum-Reserve is the Manor "Chekhmatovo", where Alexander Blok lived. All childhood the poet was surrounded by love loved ones and was inspired by the beauty of these places. Here he met his future wife - Lyubov Dmitrievna Mendeleev. Spouses were crowned in the old church of Mikhail Archangel, which is 3 km from the manor.
The last time the block came to Chessatovo in 1916, before leaving to the front. And in 1921, the estate burned the peasants. And only in 1984, the main house of the block was recreated, the Flegel, where the poet, as well as a carriage shed. In the area of the kitchen there is a cash desk, and in the former barn - a service room. Here you can even play a crockety in which the family of the block and guests loved to play at one time. There is a valid stable.
In the main house, the situation had to create a bit. The pride of the museum is a collection of autographs, among which the manuscripts of early block poems. Furniture in the house - dressers, chairs, mirrors - brought local residents to the museum. The main decoration of the living room is an ancient piano donated by the Museum by the writer Marieta Chaginyan. At one time, Sergey Rakhmaninov played on it.
Interactive programs for children are also held here, such as the manufacture of a children's handwritten magazine. You can also make a gift with your own hands or paint a plate.
The estate "Tarakanovo" once owned the noble genus, ascending to the beginning of the XVI century. The house itself has not been preserved, but in the building of the Zemstvo school there are photo archives and personal belongings of the owners. For example, photos of A. A. Blok, portraits of friends, theater figures, the first editions of the poems of the block and even a metric book from the Church of Mikhail Archangel with a record about the wedding of the poet.
In the manor "Boblovo" Dmitry Mendeleev lived and his daughter, the future wife of the block. In the estate of Mendeleev, meteorological observations were conducted, put experiments on agrochemistry, growing harvesting on their fields. After the fire, Ilyina-Smirnov's stone house was preserved, where there were several thematic exhibitions about the life of Mendeleev and his family.

The entrance to the main house of the block in Shamkhatovo will cost 100 rubles, in the fluege and in the territory - 40 rubles.
