- Each gulag was harsh in his own way. "BUT. L. J. I. R. " - Women's prison, where women gathered absolutely different professions, life status. Their destinies broke off at that moment as they got into this terrible place. I read the script and understood: I haven't played this yet. It became interesting to try. This topic is not particularly affected. And the place is not particularly famous among other gulags.
- They say that you refused to leave the place of shooting and for three months did not go anywhere. Why?
- I decided to repeat my experience on the filming of the film "Once there was one woman," when I lived a deadly four months in Tambov. So you can get better in the proposed circumstances. It is very important to fully enter yourself into the project. This is reflected in your inner state, on what you play, and on immersion in the material. The main thing is not to be overshadowed. I had an experience when I was filmed immediately in several films, it was very hard for me and morally, and physically. So I decided not to leave.
- How did the director be treated for this?
"I settled not in the camp barrack, but not far from the place of filming, in a hotel." I had everything fine. I just did not fly in Moscow for three months. And with the director, we did not even discuss it. Everyone was in the expedition. This is normal. I think the director was glad that I was not tearing, participating in other projects.
- How after such heavy roles you restore physically, psychologically?
- Three days before I went there, the shooting of the "Demon Revolution" ended, where I had the role of Krupskaya. Therefore, unfortunately, I did not have time to fully rebuilt. I do not mean rest, but only preparation for this picture. It started parallel to the shooting. But now I have this rest started. After all the trips and filming, I absolutely broke away from everything: from society, from work, I communicate only with my family, closest friends. I am doing what I want, even I want.
