Housing prices in Thailand are growing like on yeast. And thank you for this, first of all our compatriots. After all, we, Russians, do not love to be fine. And profit of 10-15 percent (the usual thing in Thailand) is not for us. We want from one transaction to be able to live at least a month.
Approximately the same, apparently, the Russian realtors are reasoned, which the incredible set appeared on Phuket. And here is the house that Tapet goes for 20,000 baht, after the mediation of the Russian agency, immediately rises in price to 40,000. Of course, this very tapet will at some point find out that its accommodation is at the very very valuable. And - immediately raises the rental cost.
So the island, which, before the expansion of the Russian decades, kept prices on the same level, suddenly at some point turned into a place for the elite. Well, or at least close to this. Feeling the smell of money, already the Thais themselves declared themselves: and now Phuket is the island of millionaires. Some beaches, which were still twenty-back naked hippie, turned into a branch of the French Riviera, and elite villas dominate among the housing surrender.
However, still remained on Phuket places where a foreigner is not synonymous with the words "Millionaire". We arrived on the island not to demonstrate to the world "Uniform", and quietly enjoy the sea and the sun. We live, simple middling, somewhere in the area of Chalong or Rawai. Russian realtors contemptively call these places "Thai villages". But reality, our village, in which we settled at least a year, is very multi-line. Here there are definitions, the Italians, the French, Australians - this is still those with whom we have already met. I suspect that one Khokhol hid somewhere, but he is not so simple in his hands: only the name of the Wi-Fi network is about its existence, which is highlighted when I set up the Internet on my computer.
The fact that Russian realtors are contemptuously called the Thai Village, in fact, is a protected village with cozy houses.
Yes, I completely forgot: Thais in our village is also there. But they are not built at home not straw, and they themselves earn, it seems no less than those Russian realtors. Well, for example, our nearest neighbors-Thais - a husband, a wife, the eldest daughter of about fifteen and the youngest years of ten - have such a car-moto park: a new Toyota Prius, the same new Mazda pickup and a pair of motorbikes. This is me to the fact that these people are not the poorest, quite satisfied with their housing.
We and I immediately became friends. Neighbors advise us how best to enroll in a particular situation where you pay for cable TV and how to order drinking water to the house. They suggested how and where you can buy a motorbike. In their family, by the way, even the youngest daughter rides on the moped. It is understandable: moving around the island without personal transport unreal.
After going to buy a motorbike, we were very surprised how this process is furnished in Thailand ...
