- Mery, how did you get into the "magnificent century"?
- I have a girlfriend, with which we worked together in the Hamburg Theater. She told the authors of the series about me. I was asked if I did not want to come to the sample. I came, although I understood badly what kind of project. At the same time, it was not particularly hoping for something, because how much it was riveted to work in Turkey, I always said: "You have a Turkish name, but you are not like Turkhanka. Yes, I also do not know the Turkish. " But I decided to take a chance again. And after samples they called me and said: "Perhaps you have to stay in Turkey for several years. We take you. " I met with the rest of the project participants, future shooting partners. And fell in love with that Hurrem, which they told me about. Is it possible to change your life in one day? I had only a toothbrush with me, a couple of jeans, a few T-shirts. But I stayed. And here I am filming already that season.
- You are German with Turkish roots?
- I was born in Germany. My mother is German, and father - the Turk, originally from Istanbul. The story of their dating is amazing, if you consider that my grandfather "paved the track" into this country. My grandfather's grandfather once worked in Germany. Then he returned back to Turkey, married, and his four children were born, my father is the oldest of them. Dad always dreamed of studying in Europe and arrived in Germany. The younger brother came to visit him, who first met with my mother, and then introduced her to her father. And Mom fell in love with him. They finished the university together, got married, and then I was born. I also have two older brothers, Denny and Christopher, and the younger sister. My childhood years passed in a house with a garden, where fun always reigned, it was always noisy. (Laughs.)
- Marriage between Turkom and German was rare at that time? Different cultures, religion - all this affected your upbringing?
- From the very beginning, there was a trusting relationship between mom and father, they always pronounced many problems, which is called, "agreed on the shore" and all decisions were accepted together, finding a compromise. My mother is a strong woman, but some natural sensitivity and the softness of the father smoothed conflict situations. At first glance it may seem that my father is an atypical Turk. But now I understand that the main thing in their relationship is still love, despite the years of russia.

- Have you ever felt squeezed between two crops?
- No never. I always felt a gentleman. In Turkey, we arrived in the summer of only two weeks. I received an education in Germany, and indeed I am not very similar to the Turkish. But it was worth it to hear Turkish music or someone spoke in Turkish - I got so good! And I did not understand why, until I moved to Istanbul. It turns out, it made itself felt my Turkish half.
- How were you a kid?
- Shy, closed, living in its own world. Here sister is full of my opposite. She was always an active, sociable girl. When her friends came to us, I asked her after half an hour: "When will they leave? I want to be alone". But, the growing, I understood - to be such a closed, not always good, especially since the subconsciously always wanted to be in sight.
- Actress to become dreamed?
- Then three things seemed interesting to me: a police service, medical practice and acting art. Then I thought that if I became an actress, then the coverage was all this.
- Parents approved your choice?
- Parents always gave us reasonable freedom, supported us, respected our choice and decisions. Mom supported me in the desire to become an actress. My mom is awesome, as I said, a strong woman! She is now 62 years old, she built his career, and his mother became wonderful. If some kind of difficult situation arises, we still advise it with it. She was diagnosed with cancer at an early stage, she was having mastered the disease with the disease, several months lacquered in the hospital, lost weight by 38 kilograms! Doctors said that she had the biggest two months left. I lived in the hospital, next to her bed put a bed for me, in the afternoon I went to school, then again came to her. And a miracle happened: Mom recovered. I then shook my mumin's disease that after mom recovered, I worked for a year with children, patients with leukemia. Such experience teaches a lot of people.

In Germany, your figure was slimmer.
- I try not to pay attention to it. First, the screen makes a man thicker. Although I'm actually more than recently. I threw smoking and scored nine kilograms. Three dropped, with six still struggling. And they slowly go. But I do not win on it, the most important thing for me is to be healthy. In Turkey, as in America, all are obsessed with weight loss. Local actresses are very thin. I thought that there would be normal women in the eastern country, but I was mistaken.
- What else did Turkey surprised you?
- Every day I still feel my attachment towards this place. Here people live emotions. There is no such thing in Germany. Here I knew the Turkish side of my "I". Only here is very lonely. The first weeks I died of loneliness. I do not know anyone here, besides the people with whom we work on the series. And besides, I am now Hurrem - I even go to the supermarket one hard. (Laughs.) You can't get calmly on the way. They love me, but people rush straight on me. I do not complain, but just confused.
- What are you doing when there are no filming?
- From fatigue, I just kick from my feet. Making a massage. I do not go anywhere. Yes, it is also necessary to work. First, I was transferred to the episodes of the series, now I read myself; Where I do not understand, I ask for help. It takes a lot of time.
- Is it not left for his personal life?
- I have six years old relations with Turk, his name is Ozdzhan. He was also born in Germany, many years lived in Istanbul, then came to Germany again. But we broke up and now we do not communicate at all. I broke with him after I learned that he sold our photos from the rest.
