Vladimir Shainsky was born in Kiev. Since 1936 he was engaged in a class of violin in a ten-year music school at the Kiev Conservatory, but the war began to study, and in 1941 the family was evacuated to Tashkent, where he continued his studies at the local conservatory. In 1943 he was called in the army. He served in the regiment of communication in Central Asia, there began to write music. After the war, Vladimir Yakovlevich graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, and from 1949 he worked in the Orchestra Leonid Rockov.
