- What do you think, why do the spectators like bad guys?
- I can only say for myself. I like to set yourself difficult and unusual tasks. And when a character appears, which solves questions and copes with problems in such a way that I am not sure I could, I would also, I am curious. Ed says things that others would like to say, but do not speak. He is not afraid that we try to avoid. He is not like everyone else, but at the same time everyone can find something in common with him.
- Would you like to be like him?
- Oh no, I do not think that I need it. I am absolutely not interested in exposing my life to terrible danger. In general, we have only a sense of humor with red. I'm trying to bring something funny, funny to the script all the time. Although this is my sense of humor, and I do not know whether Reddington can joke.
- Playing this character for three seasons, can you say that they cried with him?
- During filming, I always think about the character I play. And never think about yourself or about my possible relationships with him. To be honest, I don't care, I look like him in an ordinary life or not looked like, could be close to him or not. I have a very interesting and rich life besides work. - I have problems with questions that require an accurate answer. And therefore I try not to even think about such topics. I suffer a light form of neurosis of obsessive states, and if I start deciding who I like more, then this process can delay for a long time, if not forever.
- How do you think the series "black list" reflects modern concerns about the government conspiracy?
- I think some elements of what is happening today in the world is definitely used in the series. But this is not the central thought of the "black list". There are other serials that cope with unraveling government and world conspiractions are much more successful than us, and we are not going to compete with them. Our series is still about the FBI and its investigations. Well, what kind of methods they are being conducted, this is a separate question.
