Maslenitsa is one of the most fun and long-awaited holidays in a year, which lasts exactly 7 days. Before entering the great post, it is customary to say goodbye to the winter, to rejoice at the upcoming spring, bake pancakes - the symbol of the sun - and walk to each other. The carnival week in 2018 will begin on February 12 and will end on February 18.
Monday
The first day of the carnival week is called "Meeting". The hostess begin the bake pancakes, and the first treats get poor and needy people. On this day, our ancestors did the stuffed winter and put it in the middle of the village, where it stood until Sunday.
