Fekla Tolstaya: "The main thing is love for the family and respect for his surname"

Anonim

- Fekla, how long did the film taken on the film?

- All together - a little more than a year. At first we thought about what we would do, then we shot at about three months, another half a year was installed and the graphics were made.

- Have you participated in everything from the idea of the film before creating a script?

- Of course, the same story of my family. Who, how not me? I do not want to say that everything did one, from beginning to end. Television is a command craft. We attracted both scripts, and director, my old colleague and beautiful chef Ekaterina Zinovich worked with me. But on the other hand, I still can call it by my author's project, because how to talk and what to say - I was determined by me.

- Many had to ride?

- The geography of filming was quite big. We also visited in France and in Italy, and in Switzerland, and in America, and in Turkey. Of those three months of filming, which I say, the majority was outside of Moscow. We treated both in Russia, visited different places, including the most deaf villages. Just recently recalled that in one of the points of filming, even the road was not, and the last kilometers we walked on high grass.

- Are there any facts that were even new for you? Maybe you have heard completely unknown stories told by your numerous relatives?

- It was. The film was discussed by very different characters; There were stories that I knew very well, moreover, there were some dramatic episodes from the life of my grandfather and father. For example, emigration. This, of course, I was known. But when I read and collected materials, for example, about Peter Andreevich Tolstoy, the first column, or about the general war of 1812 Alexander Ivanovich Osterman-Tolstoy, then, of course, I learned a lot of new things. Unexpected things took place right during the preparation of the film. So it was with descendants of Osterman-Tolstoy. One of my distant English relatives told me that at one time I published a book, which people from Geneva were reacted then. We tried to search, and literally through the telephone directory found one aristocratic Swiss lady, they called her, introduced themselves to who we were, and found out that she was the descendant of one of the heroes of our film. As a result, our cinema included a large interview with her, where she tells about her ancestor. So thick is a huge family, whose representatives are around the world. For example, I always knew that the descendants of the sister of Lion Tolstoy live in a clear glade, but I never communicated with them. And here because of the film, we just met, talked, made friends, and I took an interview with my five-year sister.

- They say that the name of man and its roots somehow define his fate. Do you think your destiny affected the fact that you are a relative of the great writer?

- Probably influenced. It always seemed to me that the most important thing is to love for the family and respect for his surname - it came to me not so much through the Leo Nikolayevich, but through my father and grandfather. There have never been special conversations with conjunction of Lev Nikolayevich, but from what I saw how my father behaves; I saw how he belongs to his dad, to the preceding generation, I understood a lot. My attitude to the family has formed not textbooks of literature and not just some kind of pride, that I am a descendant of a great writer. Every two years, the congresses of the descendants of Tolstoy are held in the Casual Polyana. And we are all, and this is more than two hundred people, united by some kind of kind, living attitude towards each other. Combined in the spirit of the family. And so it was always. Despite the fact that we are scattered around the world, Tolsty always kept together and helped each other. And returning to your question ... Of course, all the generations of thick was very important to become in something weissious, to show themselves as a person, and not just to be "the great-directions of Lion Tolstoy." I very well remember the story of his uncle Sergey Tolstoy, who lived in Paris all his life, he was a wonderful man and a wonderful doctor. Once he was sitting at dinner, and on the table in front of him there was a sign with his last name. Sitting nearby Frenchwoman appealed to him: "Sorry, please, and you are not a relative ..." And Sergey Mikhailovich was already ready to explain to: "Yes, I am a relative of Lion Tolstoy ...", but suddenly she said: "And you are not a relative of the famous Parisian Doctor , Mature doctor? " And what was his joy! After all, it was he was - the very Paris Dr. Tolstoy. It is clear that the first reaction to us will always be: Do you not relatives of Lion Tolstoy? But I would like something went also with the next line.

- You yourself in all interviews diligently die from writing activities, saying that you will never do it. Nevertheless, the profession of a journalist still implies a certain writer talent ...

- Many Tolstoy had a relationship to literature, and my connection with philology, of course, first of all comes from my parents. My grandfather taught at the philological faculty, my father was an academician and a very large philologist, and my mother is Professor and Doctor of Science. Communication with a word in one way or another, very many thick kept. But it seems to me that writing is a much more serious and responsible occupation. In order to be a writer, you need not only to be able to formulate suggestions, link words and own the language. You need to have the ideas about which you want to declare the world. I never claimed it. I am engaged in journalism with great joy, followed by what can be interesting to my listeners and viewers, and simply express the interests of society as they strengthened. I do not think that there should be some special mission. What Lev Nikolayevich possessed is the great gift of God, and I do not want to equate him to him.

- You mentioned Tolstoy, who became a doctor. And what other unusual professions meet among the descendants of Lev Nikolayevich?

- Of course, we have a lot of journalists, writers, historians. There are artists, there are several talented photographers, very serious, world-class. There are directions, there is a wonderful jazz singer Victoria Tolstaya, very famous in Sweden. There are, for example, an excellent fisherman, professionally engaged in ocean fishing. There are engineers, specialists in computers. There are large businessmen and financiers. There are even farmers! Tolstoy always remained faithful land and nature - and, for example, in Sweden there are several of my units who are engaged in agriculture still and very successfully do it.

- You probably do not arise problems with travel around the world. You can go to any country, and everywhere you will have relatives. Which will be invited and will meet.

- In general, yes. (Laughs.) And the most important thing is that this privilege is not only a household when it will always be a roof over your head and a soup plate. If you have relatives in this country, you are committed differently to understand it. You can master, for example, Rome along with my beautiful niece, which, like the Roman, shows me the places that loves from childhood, and this is nothing comparable. I can say the same about my relatives in Paris or in New York. I get into the family, I communicate with their friends - and this, of course, gives me a huge odds towards other tourists.

- Do you really know all your numerous relatives on the names and support with all the connection? Or happens that very new people come to a meeting in a clear pool and unknown people for you?

- There are people I know for a long time, and we are very close. And there is someone with whom I meet for the first time. Mostly opening remained in the huge Swedish branch of our family. There are about two hundred thick, and I haven't familiar yet with everyone, but the relationship of the souls still finds it quickly. The most remarkable thing that these Tolstovsky Congresses, which for twelve years passed six times, gave obvious fruits. For example, a young foreign generation of thick, which was born in the 1980s and 1990s, a traction appears to come to Russia, read Lev Nikolayevich. My Italian relative, which is 20 years old, entered Oxford to the Russian branch. When the reception board asked to explain why the Italian girl in Oxford wants to teach Russian, she took out a photo on which all our huge family is depicted at the congress in the Casual Polyana, and said: "This is my Russian family, and I want to talk to them Russian. " Or, for example, one of my Swedish cousin, a wonderful actress that worked at one time in the Swedish Royal Theater, made a play on the diaries of Sophia Andreevna Tolstoy and showed it in Russia. And she was very important how his family would appreciate in Russia. And I didn't make your film to boast, what are we cool, but just to share with the audience a good experience. Maybe someone, looking at this film, wants to find out something and from his family history. It is always good, even if you even know and not very pleasant things. Looking at today's eyes to the life of Count Peter Andreevich Tolstoy, I see that he made a deed, which from today's point of view, straight speaking, terrible. But I do not refuse this relative. I wear a spray with the coat of arms, on which all his acts are captured, including not the most favorable.

- In addition to Pournut, you have some other relics and family values that are stored at home, and not in the museum?

- The family has a lot left. But the majority of things are thick in museums - in Moscow and in Casual Polyana. We had family portraits, some little things - caskets, photos ... But now our apartment is absolutely empty and is a sad sight, because we have allocated our entire setting in the Tolstovsky Center on Pyatnitskaya, where an exhibition dedicated to the 90- The anniversary of my father. We made and furnished, and paintings removed from the walls, and show our home collection in the museum.

- And the full collected works of Tolstoy is stored?

"It used to be, but now I have it." This is generally a very rare edition with a very small edition, and now the Museum of Tolstoy translates it into a digital look, what I also take part. The ninety volumes of the compositions of Lev Nikolayevich will be digitized using volunteers within the project "All Tolstoy in One Click".
