The horns were made of polyurethane, easy enough, but at the same time very durable material. In order for the plastic overlays exactly to fit the curves of Angelina Jolie's bends, make-up artists first made the cast of the head of the actress and cast a gypsum bust. It was subsequently used to customize rubber pads on the cheekbones and ears. The procedure for imposing a complex plastic grima took about four hours every day.
One of the internical sites of the picture was an old castle - exactly recreated, both inside and outside, a copy of the majestic buildings, which the animators drew in 1959. The floor was covered with real marble plates, and an authentic antiques was used in the interior. For the construction and decoration of the site in 250 builders and 20 artists took about 14 weeks. The scenery of an unbroken house, in which the childhood of Aurora was held, were built on the athletics platform of the London film studio Pinewood Studios. The house itself was composed of a bar, and the roof was coated with a straw manually according to the technology that professional roofers enjoy.
